Ayushmann Khurrana‘s ‘Udta Teer’ is approaching another box office milestone as the spy comedy continues its theatrical run. The film has maintained its momentum during the second week, recording an increase in daily domestic collections. Its worldwide earnings are now approaching the Rs 70 crore mark. The latest figures also indicate that audience interest remains steady, with advance bookings showing encouraging signs for the next day.
‘Udta Teer’ worldwide box office collection
According to Sacnilk, ‘Udta Teer’ collected Rs 1.60 crore in India net collections on Day 12 from 4,980 shows. Its cumulative domestic net earnings have reached Rs 45.05 crore, while the India gross collection stands at Rs 53.66 crore.The film earned another Rs 25 lakh from overseas markets. This takes its international gross collection to Rs 11.75 crore. Combining its domestic and international earnings, the Aakash Kaushik directorial has accumulated Rs 65.41 crore worldwide. It needs another Rs 4.59 crore to achieve the Rs 70 crore milestone.
Daily collections register an improvement
The film recorded an 18.5% increase in its daily India net earnings compared with the previous day. Its collection rose from Rs 1.35 crore to Rs 1.60 crore, offering a positive indication during its second week in cinemas. An estimated 1,34,049 tickets were sold across the country on Tuesday. The cumulative ticket sales have reached 23,69,188 during its theatrical run.
Weekly box office performance
‘Udta Teer’ opened with Rs 30.90 crore in India net collections during its first week. Its corresponding gross earnings stood at Rs 36.86 crore. The film subsequently added Rs 14.15 crore net during the first five days of its second week. The gross contribution for this period was Rs 16.80 crore. The second-week performance has taken its domestic net earnings beyond the Rs 45 crore mark.The Hindi 2D version registered an overall theatre occupancy of 13.42% on Tuesday. Morning shows recorded 6.08%, while afternoon screenings registered 11.08%. Evening occupancy improved to 13%, with night shows recording the highest figure at 21.69%.Advance bookings for Day 13 have also shown a positive response. By 5 AM IST on November 4, the film had sold 67,149 tickets for its next day in theatres. These bookings generated Rs 1.11 crore, indicating continued interest among audiences.
